“Braving The Winds”

A VR narrative driven experience currently in development with Game Director, “Jose Florez-Jimenez”

The main concept for this experience is that a child hides himself in a cardboard box and daydreams about sailing across a cel shaded style ocean. We intend to create a more narrative driven experience with a story and voice acting narration that will help guide the player along their journey across the seas. While sailing through the ocean, we intend to create a sense of exploration and excitement in the player, almost like you are embarking on a voyage even though it takes place inside of a cardboard box. Given that the main character is a child and this experience is taking place inside his head, we want to have a more simplistic art style and include set pieces that a child might think are found out in the seas. Our main inspirations for art style are currently the video games Wind Waker and Sea of Thieves. Both feature in-depth sailing mechanics while being set in a simplistic art style that can convince the player that the experience is truly the imagination of a child.
